This course lays claim to being the longest public course in California. Designed by John Daly. The course is a true links course. Fairly flat, has a few carries, doglegs both right and left. Decent sized greens. The course is in decent condition. Better than most munis but not as good as other resort courses. Fairways tend to be a bit overwatered and thin. We played the course in May and there were planted bunches of wildflowers, which gave the course a nice look. The course is located south of Red Bluff in No. Calif. The course has no trees and is open to the both the heat and the wind of the central valley, so the time of day you select to play can be important. It's a fun course to play and you will need to play it a few times to get a feel for it.

Customer Service

Fair. Never did see a marshall on the course and you can get slow groups holding up play. No cart girl. But there is a snack bar located on the course between the nines.

A few beachside links courses may be similar. But nothing really comes to mind.
