Davis is a nice executive style course. Challenges are few if you can play down the middle. Summertime conditions are dry and fast. Winter can be a bog. All in all it is laid back, friendly place to chase a ball. It is an excellent value for your money.

Value, relaxing atmosphere

Not very challenging, only one dogleg.

Simple course, very short when dry, very miserable after the rain. I play here because it's cheap (about $20) and close. You get what you pay for, right? Being a lefty means I've donated quite a few balls to the people who live adjacent to the course. It's not going to test your game to the fullest, but if you're bored with hitting balls at the range, it's a good short walk (par 67).

Course is rather short and there is a senior league here every morning that is extremely slow.

Davis Muni is a nice 'executive' style course. It is a short course with only one par 5 (nominally 475 yards, but plays about 450.) In the summer the fairways get very hard, making it short for anyone that hits it straight. The par 3's are all mid length, but if you miss long you are in trouble!

It is a great course for a casual golfer. The price is right!

If you are a par golfer, the course will be too easy for you. It would be helpful if there was a bunker to practice bunker shots.

The only problem with Davis Muni, as we affectionately call it, is that too many golfers from other areas realize what a bargain it is to play here.

Hmmm, how do I begin? Lousy driving range. Pro shop staff that treat you like you have a swastika tattooed on your forehead. Greens that roll as true as a gravel driveway. Get the picture?

A piece of crap course that you only play when all other options are exhausted, even the little par-3 course in woodland.
