Model Reviewed: Dry Creek

As others have stated this is a pretty good course hard flat fairways and quick greens. Winter play is better than summer due to high heat and course condition. Course floods during heavy winter rains. Reasonably priced and staff is pretty good but they can be slow. The pro shop is so so. Right off the bat on number 1 you need to have your game in order and 18 is really nice. Saturdays it can be hectic but during the week getting on is no problem. 99 traffic can be distracting on the greens.

Tough course with very reasonable prices.Oak trees will affect your shots on many of the holes, especially #2,#9,#10,#13,#14 and #18.Holes #6 & #7 are tough back to back holes on front nine.#13,#15 and #18 are very tough on the back.Fairways are pretty hard and thin right now but thats to be expected with little rain lately.Greens are pretty flat for the most part but also fast.

Solid

One of the best public courses in the Sacramento region. Great test, with tough and interesting short par-4's and a good mix of long holes. Just one of the par-5's is reachable for mortals and it plays over a strategic lake off the tee. Finishing hole is the best in the area, long par-4 with Dry Creek itself running in front.

Customer Service

Pro shop crew is unfailingly helpful and pleasant, though the trains rarely run on time.

Mature course that is split by Highway 99. I agree ... ground is often hard. Overall condition is good and the price is pretty good ... esp. if you get a 2 for 1 special. The 18th hole is def. memorable ... especially if you par. This course is often well received. Good challenge for golfers of all levels.
