Shoots in the 90s

I like this course because it has a little of everything - short and long par 3s, straight, hills, ups and downs, canyons. Front 9s are fairly flat while back 9 are hilly and quite challenging. (Bring your shag bag if you shoot like me.) Because this course is tucked away in the Glendale canyons, it's not busy during the weekends. And you can't beat the price -- $20 for 18-holes with cart. There are dry spots on the fairways but the greens are satisfactory maintained. I love it when the groundskeeper strategically moves the holes in a challenging area. Oh yea, and nice view!!

Customer Service

Friendly service. Never had any problems.

Shoots in the 80s

A good executive course that is easy to get on in the San Fernando Valley. Located in the hills above Glendale, this course sits highs with views of downtown Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. This course is a par 60 with more par 3s than par 4s and no par 5s. A course that most average hitters should not pull their driver out, this executive course winds up and down hills and has a few carries and many bunkers to provide a worthwhile challenge. The length of holes are very similar to each other and most holes you hit uphill or downhill. There are plenty of beginners with errant drives and considering the tightness of the course, I am surprised people do not get hit more often. In comparison with area executives, I would not rate it better than most of them. In comparison to 9-hole executives, I would definitely rate it below Roosevelt, Altadena and Harbor Park, and around even with Eaton Canyon and above Van Nuys. With other 18-hole course executives, I would definitely rate it well below both Westlake and Vista Valencia, and even with El Cariso. However, I guess my bias in comparison is toward the variety in length, not have too short of length of holes, trees as obstacles and variety in the shapes of shots these other courses provide.

Customer Service

Very good. As a group of three, we were able to go out quickly and play.

Shoots in the 90s

A lovely executive course in the Verdugo Hills in Glendale. The front and back 9 are 2 distinctive layouts. The front is fairly flat, while the back is tight and hilly. It is a par 60, but it is challenging and a lot of fun. Usually, this course is easy to get on as a single and reservations are usually no problem. The staff is friendly and courteous also. Bring a couple of extra sleeves of balls if you are not accustomed to playing "canyon, target golf" on some of the holes. Beautiful views of the LA basin when it is not smoggy (when is it NOT smoggy in LA ???). Bring your fairway woods, irons and wedges to play this course. Leave the driver at home as long hitters will over hit the short par 4's on this course.

Customer Service

Good.

Shoot in the 80s

A very fun course. S.C. is well taken care of. The fairways and the tee boxes are in good shape. The greens are fairly nice, even though they are pretty fast. This course has six par fours and twelve par threes. The length consists of about 3500 yards.(par 60) It is not the most forgiving course, but if you are resilient you will score well here. A lot of barrancas, since S.C. is located at the very top of the Glendale Mountains. The price is good, and your views are the best of any golf course in Los Angeles. (about $25 a round with cart)

Customer Service

I felt welcome, and everyone was very friendly.
