I've played this course several times over the past few years. I have never found it in poorer condition than Labor Day weekend 2003. The greens were awful; grainy, rough, the grass was long and some places were dried out. There were even "greens under repair" with a patchwork of rectangular sod grafts. They were clearly working on the problem, but even the greens that didn't have obvious dried spots were not smooth at all. It was next to impossible to predict where the ball would roll. It was like putting "knuckleballs", to borrow from baseball; the ball would have odd hops, jiggles right, then left. With multiple challenging water holes, several relatively narrow, long fairways with lots of OB and waste areas, they don't need poor greens to add to the difficulty! This can be a really nice course when they keep it up better.

An amazing course. The drive is well worth it. I have played quite a few times and it is one of the best courses I have ever played. Keep it in the fairway or you will be taking quite a few drops. Once I shot a 37 with two birdies on the back(I had to climb a fence on 12 into the OB and hit one back into the fairway).Thats legal right? Anyway, all cause I kept it in play. Some short holes make you think the hole will be easy, but watch out. I highly recommend this course.

One of the best values for your money, if you don't mind the long drive. I live in Corona and it still takes me about 45 minutes to get to this course. But once you're there, you'll be happy you made the drive. The best way to describe this course is that it has a lot of character. Seems like every hole is unique. It presents different challenges and tests every aspect of your game. I had a great time, everytime I played this course.

what a great course. Every hole is a challange. Have palyed it now 7 or 8 times and enjoy it more each time. Putting can be a bit tricky. Everything will break to the dam sometimes very severly. If this course was in Orange County it would be atleast $150.00.

Great track, truly a hidden jewel in SoCal. South of Hemet, isolated, beautiful surroundings; could not be better. Well groomed course, not tricked up. Usually in great condition, greens sometimes a bit ragged. Exellent course for those that enjoy walking, as tee boxes usually near the previous green. Testing par 4's and par 5's; shorter holes tend to be devilish yet fun. Try getting par on 12th hole, 600+ yard par 5, massive bunkers down entire left side of hole, with fairway sloping right to left all the way to hole; playing too far right will get you into barranca hillside. Truly a great course that all should play!
