Overated and pricey. Slow play. Sleepy back nine. Snack shop (restaurant) after 9th is far away from the course. They did not even check if the carts had sufficient charge. Our cart was low on battery and could not climb small slopes so wasted time walking back to club house to get a replacement cart.
Restaurant service was slow.

Driving range and practice facility are below average with no chipping area.

Customer Service

Unfriendly & mediocre at the pro shop.

Bad service

Customer Service

Would be a nice place if the pro shop guy (stocky caucasian or fair-skinned Hispanic person about 5' 9) was better trained and less annoying. This staff is a jerk. He's very rude when we asked for information and gave us first time players a bad impression of the establishment. We were at the Strawberry Farm pro shop on Monday, 2/13/06 in the afternoon. Not going back. I will spend my buck somewhere else.

Overpriced - Played in Dec, 2003. Greens had many ball marks filled with green seed. Reservoir on the back nine was empty; waterfall on 18 was dry. inconsistent greens - some soft landings, some long rolls. Nothing scenic here, execpt it was very quiet on the back (not so on the front). Would spend the company's money to entertain customers, but would not spend my own. A nice place, but drive to Beaumont.

This is one of our family's favorite courses in OC. The course is very challenging with many lost balls but the beauty and quiet of the area more than compensate for it. The fairway is very well maintained except for the month of October before the annual rennovation. The green looked a little tired when we played in early October. The pro shop staff are courteous. Great restaurant with food prices and an outstanding verandah eating area. The driving range is small but well maintained, with a pleasant environment. Very much like the city of Irvine and Oak Creek Golf Club, this place keeps up with a high standard.

Customer Service

Great.

Green needs more maintenance. Keep up the good work with the fairways.

One of the most scenic and challenging OC courses. Cart has GPS and well maintained. Some greens lacked the level of maintenance for a premium course. Great place for business and golfing with special friends.

Even after making a 25 foot birdie putt on 18, I still came away very disappointed in the the golf experience at Strawberry Farms. Teed off at 9:00 AM on Saturday morning in August and the course was in very poor condition. Fairways were brown and the greens were very hard and full of ball marks. The greens were also extremely slow and the pin positions were barely legal. Also found the course to be very unremarkable - don't get fooled about the back nine being so scenic routing around a lake. The lake is a man-made resevior that was stagnant and swamp like and not at all scenic. I would be relunctant to play this course again for $45 let alone the $100+ fee they charge on weekends.

Customer Service

Service was good - think the guys were embarrassed about having to charge so much for such a poorly kept course.

I really liked this course. The front nine was pretty nice, but nothing tremendous. However the back nine was gorgeous. I found the course and greens in good condition. It is easy to read too much break into the greens though, my group missed a lot of putts on the high side. I don''t know if it''s worth full price, but coupons are pretty easy to find (check newspapers and online). Red stake city out here, keep it straight off the tee.

Customer Service

Grade A-. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Pro shop was VERY pricey.

Another overpriced Orange County course. Don't get me wrong, it is a fairly nice course, decent shape, good challenge. But it is nothing special. Look for discounts on the internet or newspaper, cause it is not worth full price.

Keep the tee ball straight and you can score here.

One of my favorite Orange County courses. The front nine is really somewhat ordinary, but the back nine is really special. It is built around a reservoir, so water comes into play on many holes. The tees and greens are always in good shape. This is one of the harder courses in the area from the regular tees.

Customer Service

They have a "barn" that is a great setting for big events.

The course is laid out so you don't pass the snack bar at the turn, and the beverage cart does not have good enough selection to make up for this deficiency. How can you have a round of golf without a hot dog at the turn????

We had a 2 for 1 coupon to play and had heard alot about Strawberry Farms. 2 players for $85 was very good value. Not sure I would pay $100 or over. We started on #10, which was very nice (the whole back 9 plays around a reservoir). 18 is beautiful with a natural waterfall. The greens were not in the best of shape. Each ball that lands takes a chunk of grass out which cannot be repaired. They did not putt all that true. Otherwise, the course is very pretty and was fun to play.

Customer Service

Staff seemed friendly.

We did not have time to utilize the range or practice putting. I would like to know if the practice green is similar to the real thing on the course.
