A really nice course. Not quite up to the standards at Aviara and Madera, but fairly priced. Good conditions throughout. The bunkers are merciless.

Absolutely incredible course. One of San Diego's finest and best value for the course you get. Steele is always in great shape and the greens are fast and roll true. You definitely need to be playing well to score there. Hacking will kill you on this course and so will a bad short game. There are plenty of elevated tees and scenery to go along with it. Almost literally cut into the mountains. An awesome design, awesome golf, and very challenging mind and course management.

Great, scenic course. Elevated tees on 80% of holes. Not very forgiving. But beautiful nonetheless. Break out the driver, this course is a challenge from all the tee boxes.

Customer Service

Great staff!!!!!!!! Especially the Big Samoan Marshal. Really nice and helpful, he made sure the group in front of us, (who played horribly slow at first) kept up with the group in front of them.

Every time I come to San Diego I try to play this course; definitely best value for golf in area. Excellent facilities, staff; price is right for the tremendous golf that you get. Always in excellent condition. Canyon nine is all the golf you ever want to experience!

One of the great golfing experiences. Need to bring your "A" game here, but when you score well you can feel that you did it on a very difficult course. The Canyon nine is the most challenging and interesting, many elevation changes and forced carries. The Ranch nine is interesting how it plays around a historic and working farm. The Meadow nine plays over a number of marshes and has some elevation changes also. Another very good Gary Player track. Conservative tee game will reward the best, if you try and overpower this course it can be costly in golf balls. A must play when in the S.D. area.

Customer Service

Customer service so-so. Its not like their not nice, your typical C.C. attitude.

I have played this course three times and found it to be one of the best in the area. San Diego has dozens of great golf courses, but for the money, this is one of the best desert courses around. Requires good skills off the tee and a good touch on the greens. Strongly recommend playing this course. It never seems to be too busy to get a tee time.
