Shoots in the 80s

We get down the PGA West several time each year and never tire of the Stadium, Nick Tourney or the Norman. The Stadium is without doubt one of the most challenging courses in the Northern 48, the Nick T and the Norman are not far behind. The courses are magnificent each with "slope ratings from 145-150. Bring your game face and have fun.

Customer Service

Absolutely FIVE STAR all the time. Friendly, courteous, professional folks ready to help.

Shoots in the 80s

I had the opportunity to play both the TPC Stadium and Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course during my stay in La Quinta. The Stadium was in unbelievable shape and the greens were perfect. My game on the other hand was not in tune for such a demanding, shot makers golf course. For anyone who wants to humble their golf game, I recommend giving this one a try. The Jack Nicklaus Course was more my style. It has more forgiving holes, but my score didn't reflect it. I did break 90 on both rounds, but my pride was definelty hurt. World class golf facility.

Customer Service

I was shocked when we pulled up to the valet stand at the main entrance and the Director of Golf greeted us as we arrived. Most of the time at high profile facilities, you're lucky to see the pro during the day, much less when you arrive. To top that, he also came out on the course and asked our group how our round was going and if there was anything he could do to make it more enjoyable. The staff was so accomodating and everyone was smiling from the golf shop counter to the first tee where Art our starter. After seeeing the newly remodeled clubhouse, I see why the staff is always smiling. The staff's attitude and demeanor set the tone for our hole day.

Pebble Beach, Torrey Pines, but in this case the round only took 4 hours. I was surprised with the amount of play on a busy holiday weekend that a course this tough and so demanding, that the staff was able to deliver on their promise of a four hour round. THe PGA Tour pros can't even play in that amount of time. It was nice to see a golf course who sticks to their guns on promises, especially on pace of play. The second day on the Nicklaus, we finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes. After completion of our round, the Director of Golf bought us a round of drinks and apologized that we didn't make it in 4 hours. I have played rounds at other facilities where it took over 5 hours and the staff told me that sometimes the caliber of players they get doesn't allow them to enforce their pace of play policy. Kudos to PGA West on trying to provide a round of golf that doesn't take forever.

Shoots in the 90s

The Nicklaus Tournament course in PGA West is indeed my favorite. Statium would follow and the Norman would be a very close third. All three will keep you on your toes, lots of places to go a stray. But the rewards are worth every stroke.

Customer Service

The staff at both the Stadium and Norman clubhouses is Top Drawer, the Best.
