Shoots in the 80s

My Wife and I had the pleasure of two rounds at the PGA West, Nicoluas Tournament course in early March 09, the course was fantastic, tee's, fairways, buckers and greens were as good as one could ask for. Staff and food were excellent. We are planning another stay at PGA, in May of 09. Well worth every penny. The area is simply fantastic.

Shoots in the 100s

Challenging, but not as difficult as the marshal claimed. (he said it was rated like top 10 in difficulty). Loved the tall bunkers! Don't see too many of those where I live. Putting green didn't feel anything like the actual greens. If you didn't enjoy the round, you have plenty of scenery to occupy your mind. Lots of levels on fairways... with some steep drop offs. Fun course for resort players. Expensive, but worth a visit if you've never been.

Customer Service

Very friendly marshalls and drink cart girls. Bag drop was courteous, and club clean was well done.

Pro Shop is mostly clothing! Driving range is nice, but not too many stalls... had to wait for one. Good chipping areas.

Shoots in the 80s

Played 6/2 as part of weekend "Stay and Play" package at La Quinta. The course winds through resort homes and has enough pot bunkers and railroad ties to remind you who designed the course. Great holes with a variety of length and hazards. Water comes into play on both par 3s and 4s with the danger on the left and right. You can't bomb the ball indiscriminately off the tee and expect to have your length reward you.

Customer Service

Great starter; did not see a marshall out on the course, cart girl made enough rounds, well stocked clubhouse; however they didn't want to accomodate on a purchase when they could have given the benef

Shoot in the 80s

Played both the Nicklaus Tournament course and the TPC Stadium courses 7/28-29, 2001. The condition of these two courses was the worst I'd ever seen, the greens were decent, but not what you would expect from a highly acclaimed resort. The staff was friendly (no complaints there) On one afternoon, went to Landmark and played there, no comparison in course conditioning.

Tourney Tee's.7156..Champ..6671..we played Champ..greens excellent, tee boxes excellent, fairways(mid Nov).tight and
well groomed, practice area excellent,Bunkers 60 to 80 depending on what Golf Mag you read..excellent consistent,
crushed marble, I read, I was in a few,A yardage book is a must, very deceptive "Links" type, waste areas, border all holes, greens roll true, hold your shots and unlike a lot of new courses you can bump and run or go high, par threes will
give you a thrill,$200+ in my opinion worth the price..great
