Shoots in the 80s

If there is golf during the apocalypse, this is what it will be like. I reluctantly played this course as a last resort and haven’t played here in many years. Now I remember why, wow, what a train wreck. First the club house/pro shop, it looks like leftovers from a yard sale. Bare walls, empty shelves, has this place been looted? The last time I played here, I rode one of the old style gas powered golf carts that were so beat down; the floor board had large holes in them. At least this time they upgraded to some half way decent electric models. If you’ve never played here, the course could have potential. It’s in a great area with nice views. The problem is that the place is on the side of a pretty step hill and EVERY SHOT, and I mean EVERY SHOT rolls down the hill. Don’t worry about any cancer causing fertilizers here because nothing grows here. Some of the most barren fairways I’ve ever seen. What grass is here is some pretty poor looking crab grass, pine needles, sticks and what ever happens to fall to the ground never to be picked up. The fairways are lined by some good size and mature trees. Many are leaning hard into the fairways and some have even fallen over and are just left there. It gives the place that just after the big storm look. Bunkers, I guess that’s what they area. Nice hard packed combination rocks and dirt. If you have a bunker shot, grab your partners wedge and don’t tell him. Also, if you have weak kidneys, you may want to wear a kidney belt. The cart paths are so beat down it’s like an off road course. And no I’m not exaggerating. Yes its cheap golf, but how cheap do you have to be to put up with this place. If you’re in the area, go down the street to San Dimas Canyon. If you’re low on cash, try Upland Hills.

A rustic, canyon type course with beautiful views. Run by the LA County system, so the green fee is a bargain at $27.00 (walking) on the weekend ! It is run very well and the staff is courteous. Fairly open with some doglegs. Beautiful views of the mountains. Easy to get on during the weekdays and the staff is great ! Greens are very tough to putt on. Practice on the putting green BEFORE heading out to play the course if you wish to shoot low scores !

Excellent !

Shoot in the 80s

I love this course. I am extremely surprised when they only charged me $35 on a weekend riding; what a bargain now-a-days. Impressive view high up in the canons around a very nice residencial area away from any major traffic that is not easy to find. Could never found if not told by others.

The day I played the canons were full of fogs making the scenary very "dreamy"; it was just wonderful. The course is way better condition than one would expect from the price; although, it's not in any tournament shape. The green are hard but slow. The play is very quiet with not park around it and no loud crowd or traffic anywhere in sight. Wow, what a change of scenary. Everyone should try this course once. The course itself is nothing spectacular but the experience was wonderful.

Great course.lots of forced caries.interesting short holes.
Super layout....
A word of warning...The greens are a mother to putt.
I hit the ball from tee to green very good the day I played it and shot 81.I must have 3 putted 3 or 4 times...

Shoot in the 80s

Fun course, great views, not really long but you can hit driver more than once or twice. Conditions were great from tee to green although some greens were so tricky they could add many strokes to your score. A bargain at $14 for twilight. It is a mountain course with lots of rustic landcaping. Easy to get on during the week.

Customer Service

Very friendly small town feel.
