good course for beginners but not great for veterans

Nice variety with two par 4 holes mixed in with seven 3 par holes.

Greens are a bit "holey" at times, this depending on the time of year and even the time of day sometimes;-)

I've played this course for months now, and I have to say that it is always a pleasant challenge. Although it can crowd up at times, overall the gameplay moves along smoothly and, with the coast just over a mile away, the weather can't be beat.

it offers play to any level of golfer at extremely discounted rates and you are usually able to get around in less than two hours

the greens aren't as receptive or readable as i would sometime like...but what do you expect for 5 bucks at twilight?

Bixby golf course is seriously a treasure for the beginning, average, and the advanced player. in that if you are just starting out it is a fairly short course that will demand that you develop the fundamental skills that it takes to play the game of golf. for the average player depending on the hole placements, you will have the opportunity to play a course with a different look than your typical nine hole course. bixby is difficult for a number of reasons and challenges me everytime i play it. and if you are scratch golfer you will be shaking your head at the greens there...they never break the way you want them to!!

awesome...the guys in the pro shop are classic...always up for shooting the shxx and getting you out on the course as quickly as possible.

price....close to my house (like you care)....decent greens.

Shabby fairways....need to be watered.

this course is so bad...it's actually fun. I need work on par threes so this is as good a place as any. It is what it is, so don't expect Augusta National.

Variety of holes

A little threadbare

Nice executive 9 holer. Can get busy (where doesn't?) but has a nice feel and friendly atmosphere.
