Shoots in the 90s

Almost 7000 yard course from the back tees. The fairways are wider than the neighboring Harding course. A few bunkers and doglegs and some water are present. Excellent mountain scenery including wildlife. Above average course conditions. This course is great for the casual golfer that enjoys a long walk.

Customer Service

Most of the starters are friendly.

Very nice muni course. Staff was really helpful, as I flew in from another state for a meeting and had some time to play. They accomodated me on two separate occasions. Nice rental set of Taylor Made clubs. Food was good and greasy. Played Wilson and the greens very nicely manicured, a little tricky and fast. The fairways were what you'd expect in winter. Course gets very backed up, even on weekdays. It took an hour to complete the first two holes! Other than that, it was fun and wide open.

Model Reviewed: Wilson GC, Griffith Park

Wide fairways, large greens. This course is very busy almost all the time. Greens are in good shape and hold most shots. Some holes border the freeway and casual conversation with playing partners can be a chore. Green fees are inexpensive so good bang for the buck. Driving range is a double-decker with plenty of stalls. Plenty of putting greens and a pitching/shipping area behind the club house.

Customer Service

For City employees, starters are friendly. Restaurant staff are great.

One of the best courses in the LA City system. Fairways, tee boxes and greens are usually in good condition for a municipal course that receives a lot of play. Great views and fairly open fairways. The only weakness is that some of holes are so close to interstate 5 that traffic noise can become a problem. Worth a try, the best time to play is during the week. Weekends are s-l-o-w and crowded.

Customer Service

Typical LA City stuff.
