i played this course as a match. it was my first time and i didn't have much knowledge towards this course so i came here to look up reviews. all of them said it was hilly and lemme tell you, it is HILLY. this play has slopes on everyshot you'll take. you will not take a shot on plain flat ground. there is no way. the greens are always of higher elevation than the fairways. the rough is EXTREMELY rough. i was hitting my ball from the rough and it was about 3 inches to 7 inches at times. the rough was extremely tall. the fairway has a lot of mowed grass and it doesn't seem to be taken care of well. it is a much harder course with all the elevation changes and hard to it roughs compared to Santa Teresa and Los Lagos. i would much rather stick with those two courses than comming down here.

The front nine was very picturesque with great views of the valley. The play was very slow, but this was due to a rain delay and a tournament that occurred earlier in the morning. The disappointing aspects of this course are mainly due to the lack of skill and courtesy in the players there. There were many times when balls either landed right by me or flew past me without hearing any warnings. Also, mine, and other players in my group, golf balls were picked up and dropped by other golfers on a few occasions, I assume that they were looking for their golf balls. Overall I felt that it was a great course to play, but I don't think I will be going back any time soon due to my experience.

It is a good, solid course. A little bit challenging, but it's OK. Many of the holes are quite fun (#5, #11, #16) and some are difficult (#2, #8, #8, #12, #8). The eighth hole is challenging. Par 4, and dogleg left and uphill. It is tough to get on in 2, you have to hit 2 VERY nice shots to get up. Once you do get up, there are 2 bunkers up there AND the green is fast and three tiered. I would recommend this course to either a scratch golfer or a relatively new player.

A fairly nice layout in Milpitas. Elevation changes and quite hilly. Run by American Golf, so it is a bit pricey for weekend play. Not a great value.

Customer Service

Not too bad.

OK layout where 'local knowledge' is a big plus. Tough to walk, since it's very hilly. Greens can be very difficult, with lots of slope. Need to be fairly accurate with tee shots on most holes.

Customer Service

Pretty good.

I played at the course about 10 years and I did not remember what to expect when I played today. Was reading up on some reviews on the web where some people thought it was too slow on the weekend and some of the fairways were too narrow or too sloped. One person thought the designer crossed the line between being challenging and being playble. I played there today and liked it very much. Sure there are some side sloped fairways that we don't see on other flat courses, but there was nothing unfair about it. And the layout of the course reminded me some of the high-end courses. Yeah it was tough, but I managed pretty well (on the first 9 anyway).

Customer Service

Person at the proshop was pretty friendly. Guy at the bar also.

a nice course as far as muni courses go. sprinklers go on at very unoppurtune times. the front nine is in very good shape, but several of the holes on the back nine are very shabby. must have a cart, course is not walker friendly. greens roll very fast on the back nine.

One nine, which I played first but I believe is actually the back, had water on nearly every hole and was pretty fun. The other side was a cow pasture. Neither nine is in good shape, and a couple holes make this course pretty tough to walk.

Customer Service

The customer service is fine, and it is decently easy to make a time.

This is a very long course and challenging at spots. Interesting variety and you can get some good deals. I've been there when conditions weren't so hot - the spring after El Nino - and I've seen it when it was torn up by wild pigs.

Range is pretty nice - on grass next to a pond.
