This course is a MUST play! It HAS to be the best value in the Inland Empire. I paid $35 on Click4teetimes.com on a saturday morning! My friends that played with me were like, "So what did you get us into?" The course plays to a 128 slope from the white tees, and the course isn't long. Fairways are pretty forgiving as well. So how does it get a 128 slope? The greens are undalating, and can be extremely quick! Must keep the ball below the hole! Must be able to hit quality approach shots off of tight lies. Really a fun layout though. Lots of changes in evelation. Water comes into play on several holes. Lots of palm trees lining the course. My only real criticism is the poor quality of the rough. I got a lot of ugly lies from patchy grass in the rough. But what can I say, this course is just flat a great layout and a great price!

Customer Service

Very good! The starter not only gave us a great preview of the course, he held us 100 yards from the first tee box until it cleared. I've been to VERY expensive courses and didn't receive that much treatment. Well done.

Two things first and foremost. One, make sure you don't mind playing bermuda grass because that's what you'll be getting here. Personally, I struggled with my wedge game here because of the thick bermuda + tendency to dig in. Don't even think about chipping into the edges of the greens. The first cut bermuda is like velcro and will stop your ball dead in its tracks. Two, make sure you check the forecast for wind and heat. This course has an uncanny "look-a-like" feel to Real Del Mar in Baja Mexico except for it being more open + having the Bermuda. There's no doubt this course is a great value for the money. However, the wind here on 9-5-04 was simply ridiculous. We were definitely 30+ mph. Add to that the swirling sand and dirt and + heat and it made for a very long day. So much sand / dirt got into my eyes and with contacts... Just brutal! Conditions of the course itself were respectable but certainly not great. Fairways were in decent shape. I didn't notice any rough patches of dirt or anything on the fairways themselves. Bunkers were hard and dirt filled (i.e. not sand). Greens were in good shape I thought (i.e. not too fast or slow). Layout is rather hilly. Most tee shots are downhill with a couple uphill. Greens are usually tiered, but nothing too crazy. Lots of left and right doglegs to keep things interesting. I thought the palm tree placement on certain holes (especially) behind some greens was pretty suspect for recovery shots. #5 and #15 come to mind. Similarly, water comes into play on several holes, but you simply have no way of knowing this from certain vantage points in the middle of some uphill fairways (i.e. making the second / third shot blind). Overall, I'd give this place a try but only if the wind isn't blowing + not too hot. It also helps that you feel comfortable with bermuda grass.

OK course. Tough to walk. But nice variety of holes.

Customer Service

Just bad. One wrong step and rangers/starter are all over you. Did not feel comfortable there. I hesitate to go back.

Great golf value; has gotten better in recent years. Great, tough Desmond Muirhead design. Play this course routinely and you develop no fear of other courses. Recently bought by owner of Steele Canyon in San Diego, and has committed to fixing up course; bunkers have been redone, some of the harder greens have been softened. Ninth and eighteenth holes are the best anywhere. Great pricing- cart + green fees Thanksgiving day $40.00!!

Customer Service

Decent- no problems
