Beautiful course in a beautiful location. Not a particularly long course, with some of the par 5's being under 500 yards. An earlier review said to keep your driver in your bag, but I used it most all of the par 4's & 5's. As long as your relatively accurate off the tee, you'll be fine. But it's not a course you don't want to start slicing or hooking!!!

Lot's of hills and fairway bunkers. Water comes into play on about 3 holes, with the 10th deciding whether to go over it or around it to the lakeside green. Some good views of the ocean. Saw lot's of deer roaming around the course.

The greens were in good shape, but had alot of tricky breaks.

Restaurant and snack bar were excellent.
Golf shop had lot's of PB clothes to sell, not many clubs.
The range and putting green were in good shape. One problem though, the range faces the sun the morning, so you get blinded everytime you hit the ball.
All the staff were really friendly.

This place is awesome!! What a great golf course. Very tough, but also very fun. Tree-lined fairways and fast greens. The tall Monterey pines add to the beauty of the course. The course was in beautiful condition the day I played. I can understand why this course is played during the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. This course is a must play if you are in the Monterey area. Fantastic facilties (clubhouse, practice area, putting green, pro shop). I will defintely be back.

Customer Service

I was paired with one of the assistant pros and he made the round more enjoyable by helping with club selection. The entire staff was great!!

a beautiful golf course. make sure you keep your driver in the bag. accuracy off the tee is crucial. the course is not very long, but what is lacks in yardage it more than makes up for it in accuracy. the fairways are narrow and the greens are fast. the course is in tremendous shape year around. lots of sand for errant shots. very difficult to punch out if you get in the woods off the tee. if you want to play a pga-style course this is it. you'll really appreciate how good those guys are.

Customer Service

make sure you bring a coat. very rarely is it ever warm. always windy or overcast-sometimes its tough to warm-up.

This is a beautiful course which i wish that i had been able to enjoy more. See, the day that i ventured to this course, which was a part of my trip in the Monterey area, i was having trouble with my accuracy off the tee, I WAS PUNISHED BRUTALLY FOR IT, i couldn't even puch out, i had to take a drop of four different holes, where my ball found the woods
To score well on this course u need to be accurate andbe able to choose the right club on your second shot and compensatse the elevation change.
