Shoots in the 90s

A nice muni course, better than sister course Diamond Oaks. Good variation on the holes, many require lay up shots before going for the green. # 9 especially tricky- uphill tee shot, second shot between two water hazards and a layup third shot unless you have a reliable 3 wood. Best to drive your cart up the hole before you take your second shot- the hazards won't be visible from your first shot. All in all one of my top ten.

Shoot in the 90s

While I have to agree with the previous reviewer about how you have to think about your shots and can't bring out your driver and blast away, I also have to agree with my brother, when he called it gimmicky. Especially the 11th, 13th and 16th.
The par 5's are nice, except for the 16th. Good finishing hole on the front nine and back nine.

Fairways are pretty wide open, but there are some holes with monster houses on the them that narrow them down. The greens were in good shape. The green on the par 17th is just nasty!!!

Nice use of water and fairway bunkers to keep you honest.

Marshalls were helpful and cordial.

Shoot in the 80s

Played the course on 7/6/00 from the blue tees (approx 6050 yards). The course is not exceptionaly long, but you do have to think on most of the holes. You can't just get on the tee and blast away if you're a long ball hitter. If you do blast away, you'll find yourself in water, sand or a ditch. In the past there was some serious drainage problems and you would lose your ball in the middle of the fairway when it landed and plugged out of sight. In the last year, they have fixed that problem on most of the holes. The only spot I could find that still had that problem was on #16 about 125 yards from the green on the right hand side. The greens are in pretty good shape for the amount of play the course gets.

Customer Service

tee times are fairly easy to make - most
of the time if I walk on, I am out on
the course within 45 minutes.
