Very nice course for a muni. Stays in good condition, although it can get a little wet at times in the winter. I had a nice long drive with lots of carry that plugged in the fairway the day after a small rainstorm.

Conditions are nice, and greens are smooth, decently quick, and have a lot of slope. Not overly penal on bad shots, but there are several out of bounds on the course. For the most part you can hit it crooked and still have a chance to score.

Nice variety of holes - uphill and downhill, doglegs left and right.

Pace of play can be fine to quite slow - play early for best results.

This is a muni, but a nice value for the money.

Customer Service

Just fine, very pleasant people.

This is far better than San Jose muni, with its awful greens and boring layout. It is better than any Bay Area muni I know of.

Santa Teresa is a beautiful course nestled in South San Jose neighborhood. Fairways and greens are beautifully kept. For the skilled golfers greens are slick. Front 9 is much easier than the back 9. Good course for all skill levels. Course have great practice areas. Also they have a charming executive course (par 27) to sharpen your short game. Overall its a 9 out of 10 course. On a busy day it could be a wait.

Played 18 in under 4 hours on a weekday afternoon. Greens and fairways were in great shape. Customer service was good and layout was easy to follow. There were enough tough holes to interest experienced golfers but enough wide fairways to not turn off high handicappers like myself.

Good

this is a great course. i play it basicly every weekend. it's an average course for all sill levels. it's got many trees and no water hazard. bunkers are only laid around the green with few around the fairway. the course has very nice, helpful, and friendly staff. the rates are cheap and making a tee time a week in advance is very possible. the food is great and the clubhouse is nice. the course maintinance(sp?) is a 4 out of 5. it has some rough spotted fairways and tee boxes. other wise it is a great course to play.

A Challenging course both playing it and enduring it.

If you dont get here at the crack of dawn I can assure you
you wont get through under 5 1/2 hours. I have played here
on Sundays mid - day and been 3 or 4 deep at a tee box for
several holes in a row! Ive played here every weekend
cos I take lessons here and play after or before
the lesson, otherwise I'll go to Spring Valley or Muni
both are not as challenging, but both are much faster to
play though if you call 4 to 5 hours faster!!!

This course is a nice, and somewhat challenging course for all skill levels. The course is pretty well maintained for most of the year, but can get pretty sloppy during the rainy seasons. Overall, I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a decent golf experience, that is close to home.

Santa Teresa has developed into a typical South Bay muni course: overpriced and overrated. It is kept in good shape, and has a couple of unique holes, but isn't worth the effort and pain of playing there.

Customer Service

It is impossible to get a tee time here. You start calling at 7 am the week before and the phone is busy until their booked until 3 pm that day. It's luicrous.

The staff is very nice. The range has mats only, which stinks. The restaurant is good.

I have played this course twice now and I am really pleased with the overall course quality. The tees, fairways and greens are in great shape. The course itself has wide fairways that are forgiving for beginning golfers. Greens fees seem a bit pricey compared to some courses that now have GPS and other amenities.

Customer Service

The staff is friendly and tries to accomodate single golfers.
