This course may have been nice in the past but now it is in very bad condition. The fairways looked like roughs and the greens has cracks & large blotches. The strong winds are not their fault.I drove over three hours & was very disappointed.

Customer Service

The staff was great.

Shoots in the 100s

My review may be influenced by the circumstances of my round. I played on Veteran's Day, and although the forecast was for rain, it turned out to be a beautiful day with not a cloud in the sky. It was just my son and me, with no one in front of us or behind us. Could it have been more ideal? It was somewhat surprising to find this course situated here - the population of Sea Ranch, Gualala, and Anchor Bay is tiny. Perhaps due to the limited use, the course was in great shape. The greens were immaculate, was were the fairways. The course is influenced by the coastal location: The rough in many places is the very tall native grasses. The bunkers consist of a dark, coarse, compacted sand, so they're easy to hit out. There's a good mix of holes - some where you can hit away, others where you absolutely have to lay up.

Shoot in the 80s

A great course. It is at it's best when walked. The course offers a lot of interest and great diversity. Peak a boo views of the ocean are a nice touch. There are a few blind holes where you can get into trouble. Roughs are very rough. Fairways roll like crazy, making for some very long hits. Greens roll true, but are on the hard side. Probably due to the afternoon winds, which I have become accustomed too. All in all a very nice course.

Challenging course. Be prepared to hit a variety of lies and use a lot of different clubs. Course maintence is very good. The greens are fast and true. The club house is a joke; more like a snack shop.
