I wasn't expecting much after reading the negative reviews posted to this site, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
I found non of the negative comments were valid except the Traps lack of quality sand. However this is a canyon course and traditionally all of these type of courses have aproblem keeping "fluffy" sand in the bunkers hence they use a coarser sand that seems to be watered to keep the blowing down. But let face it "It's a Hazzard" there not supposed to be perfectly manicured.
We were actually a little early going off and there was decent marshaling on course
I can only assume that the negative reviewer either have a personal grudge or they are trying to keep the traffic down, by scaring golfers away. Either way they are not improving the game or hgelping anyone but themselves.

I shot my first round in the 70's mostly because I figured out early that you could get very aggressive around the greens.

I've read the comments and am a bit surprised. I have played this course many times over the past 4 years and will agree that it has had it's ups and downs, however the attacks that the previous reviewers have made are unneeded. Obviously non-golfers. The course has an excellent layout, the terf coverage is good, the greens are a lot better then they were 8 months ago. I agree that being on time is an issue, however, it has gotten much better lately and I understand that the new manager is committed to being on time. The course is challenging and the staff is okay. The manager has just changed, I think in the beginning of February. The course can do better, but how fair is it to compare course condition of a $35 w/e rate course with a $135 w/e rate course (Lost Canyons)? This course is well worth what you pay in green fees.

Customer Service

Tee times are tough to get, they have a resident and non-resident policy
