Coyote Moon Golf Club - Golf courses, Truckee, CA

Coyote Moon Golf Club - Golf courses, Truckee, CA

DESCRIPTION

Lose yourself in Coyote Moon Golf Course's tranquil environment. The course seems worlds away from civilization and each hole seems a world unto itself. Brad Bell has taken full advantage of the natural setting. Towering pines, granite outcroppings, and the beautiful Trout Creek add dramatic elements of risk.

Every type of shot will be necessary for the golfer to successfully navigate Coyote Moon Golf Course. Where greens are not bunkered, rolling grass mounds provide the challenge to get up and down.

Coyote Moon Golf Course is a challenging but extremely fair test of golf. The course will offer enjoyment and challenge to all levels of golfers with generous fairways and medium sized greens. Once on the course you will find tee shots that offer ample landing areas with only a few forced carries. From the landing area the course typically funnels down to medium sized undulating greens that are well protected by trees, sand, and water.

Layout is very hilly, which I like. Very nice design with a lot of interesting holes. Unfortunately, the fairways were furry and the greens were diseased. Wish I would have played it a couple years ago when it was in better shape according to other reviews.

This is one of the 10 Best Golf Courses in all of Ca. for sure. this course has it all, the scenic value, lush fairways and greens, creative layout that will challenge even the best golfer , and a great staff. as you pull up to a great clubhouse you know that your in for a very special day. the staff is great and the food there is superb. the practice area and putting greens are huge, and the warm up area to hit balls is a bit small which is the only thing I thought needed to be bigger. the best thing is that no where on houses on the course or such. all you see is nature in all its beauty and hear the wind, its like a golf wonderland. the fairways are well groomed and and there's a great mix of water and creeks mixed in. the greens are perfect, smooth, fast, and true and the sand traps are even better. if your off the fairway past the rough you are in the trees and flowers for most part, this course demands good shot making and will reward the risk shot factor too. the views along the course are breath taking and don't forget to bring your camera too. the course too had a players asst who we saw twice out there, that makes sure you don't need anything and your having a great time. then theres the cart girls who have everything on there carts and are wonderful. at the finish you can either sit outside and relax with a great view or sit inside for some great food and drinks. the pro shop has a great selection of most everything you need mixed a few things you wish you had...lol I can't believe this course hasn't gotten a tour stop or pro-am yet, as it is well worthy of it. if you are in the Tahoe area and want to treat yourself to a course you will not soon forget, this is it. I have played many of the courses in the area and this is the one I keep coming back too. Coyote Moon Golf Course is a golfers gold mine in the Sierras and worth visiting for sure. Smilin Steve

Beautiful course! Fantastic scenery. One complaint...the greens. Too fast to be enjoyable. 4-putted twice. A lot of undulations. You'll need your "A" short game to score. Chipping & putting are difficult because of the mounding. No run up shots here. If only they had made the approach shots easier then I would give this course 5-stars all the way.

Customer Service

So-so. Not eoungh help for first time golfer.

Beautiful golf course with some great holes. Only problem is slow play. I have played the course 10-15 times and have never had less than a 5 hour round.

Fun Fun Fun! Fairways, greens, rough are all in perfect condition. 13th hole is amazing, par 3 almost straight downhill.

Wonderful views, great staff, loved it.

Only negative is the practice area. You hit 'plastic' balls as there isnt much driving room.
