This is a quirky, short 9-hole course. 1 par 5. I get the feeling that this course was put into an area where a golf course was not meant to be. It circles a small airfield. 2 plusses: Has very large greens, complex and well cared for although quite fuzzy ; views of the ocean. Tee boxes are horrible. #2 seems to be built up on asphalt. Fairways are mowed weeds and very hard. Balls run forever. There are houses on three fairways which are definitely in play. One has been boarded up. Shelter Cove is a quiet area on the coast that you must drive 40 miles to get to. It has a handful of motels and middle of the road eating establishments. Come for the quiet, the fishing and hiking but not the golf. No range or practice area. Walkable. $15-$20 range.
