Strength:

Melrose Country Club, when the name comes to mind I think pure elegance. The course truly brings out all of the parts of the game. Around the green shots, Long straight drives and gorgeous par 3's. The maintenence is excellent! The fairway's and greens are always in top condition tstoto

Weakness:

none . . . .

As a member, the frustration with this "country club" grows with every visit. The golf experience is horrible. 18 holes of golf takes between 5.5 and 7 hours. Unless one plays this course during off peak times, this experience is shared by many. If you play, be prepared to observe groups in front of you stacking up all over the course. Golfers who have no business playing a difficult course spend way too long looking for errant shots in waste areas in waist high weeds. It's just ridiculous. No one in the entire Canongate organization cares about pace of play, not the course ranger (don't even know why they have one), not the pro's, not the local management, not the regional management, no one. There is no advantage to belong here, it's a public course priced like a cheap country club.

Very nice course. It will test you, but will not kill you. The front nine is the easiest side. It is the back nine that will put you through a mental test. A very intriguing track that will cause you to use your brain. Fairways are medium to tight and greens are quick with some undulation. Over all a very fun course.

Customer Service
