For what this course has to offer for the price it's a great value. I think I paid something like $20 for the front 9, and it was extremely challenging, however fun. The fairways and greens were kept in excellent condition! Putting was easier on this course for me than most others for some reason. Areas around the fairways were a little high, hard to play out of, but stay outta them and you'll be fine :-) As you do the front 9 the last holes are at the top of a hill where all of Denver is in view, so beautiful, some of the tee boxes are elevated so if you get a good hit it's a reward to watch the ball sail. The 9th hole has a lake, don't get greedy and try to go over it, as I wasted a ball trying. You need to be careful with your drives as there are houses lined on the fairways on a good portion of the holes, overall a great course for the price.

Model Reviewed: Saddle Rock Golf Club

Course is a great value (even for non-residents). Worth the 20 minute drive to play. Great course conditions and great layout (back 9--especially hole #11--is great). Would definitely recommend playing. Putting green and grass driving range. Great service and all around great value ($47 with cart). Sort of reminds me of Highlands Ranch Golf Club, but a better price and a bit harder. Water doesn't come into play much, but there are elevation changes which makes it fun (and difficult at the same time). Definitely play again and I recommend anyone in the area to play the course. (Note: Did play on a Monday, so not sure how crowded/backed-up it may be during the weekend).

Nice layout. Not very crowded for a muny. THe gerens were in the worst shape of any I have ever played on. There were at least 50 ball marks on every green, some of them just made and others at least a couple of days old. The greens ruined an otherwise very good golf course. We mentioned it to the only marshall we saw all afternoon (on a Sunday no less)at the 13th hole. His response was "I'll tell the club house". Things will have to improve drastically before I'll return.

Ignore the rating below me; ALL course in Denver aerate greens in May. I have played this a half dozen times and it is a charm. Great mountain-like course. Elevated tees and greens. Waterfalls. Grass driving range and chipping area. Practice traps. First class operation.

I played Saddle Rock on May 15, and I was not impressed. I had heard about the course hosting various tournaments and also saw a local newspaper review that placed it among the top ten public courses in the state, so I was anticipating a top notch experience. What a dissapointment. The layout was boring and akward in places and the whole course looked poorly maintained. This was just another public course. Nothing special.
