This is a very well kept back and forth kind of coarse. You wont find a whole lot of difference from hole to hole besides the yardage and hazard placements. You have to bring your A game when heading to the tee. Fairways are narrow and the rough is punishing. Overall you get what you pay for which is a very middle of the road type coarse.

I will say this. Watch your pace of play! If you are so much as 15 minutes behind the cart nazi will come out and harass you. I've played maybe ten times on this coarse over the coarse of a year or so and I've been harassed maybe 5 of those times. They do move a lot of people through their coarse but common courtesy is so underrated.

This is Boulders Local coarse sitting in pretty much the heart of the city. Its located on a fairly small plot of land so its your typical back and forth type of layout. The value of the coarse is decent, better prices for students.

With narrow to average fairway width your driving must be on to shoot anything good. Compared to the coarses around here the greens are average to fast. The coarse itself is kept in fairly good condition.

Be sure to keep your play at a fairly good pace becuasue the club house is very strict. I've played this coarse maybe 10 times in my life and I'd say 5 of these times my group has been asked to play faster when we were playing at a reasonable rate. They do work a fair amount of people through there during the day but it is rude and unprofessional when your playing the sport you love.

Some strenghts about this golf course are that there is many trees making the course harder, but all in all better. It is very well watered and is green almost all year round.

Some weaknesses of this course are that the course is not very hilly deducting from its hardness. Also, the fairways are pretty basic on most holes. Bunkers are not deep and hard and are very easy to play from, (which in some cases is good for us high handicapers)

I am 13 years old and I love this course. I started playing golf here and have learned many things from the pros and instructors. There are lots of trees which contribute to the toughness of the course. Most fairways are pretty straight and are not that "hilly." It is a beautiful course and has many hard holes w/ creeks in the middle or on the side.

A lot of difficult long holes. Great practice greens and chipping area.

10th hole pisses everyone that plays the hole off. As you tee up the driving range is about 30 yards up along the fairway and the fence to stop all the people's slices on the driving range is only about 15 to 20 feet tall at the max so there are about 40 - 50 balls on the fairway and along the rough on the left side of the hole and you better watch out when hitting your second shot as for there are balls landing every few seconds from the driving range.

Great course. Somewhat challenging due to all the trees that line the fairways and all of the water hazards, bunkers don't play very much into this course.

The best walking course I've ever played. Pace of play is good since there's so little distance between green and tee.

Public golf - anyone can play, and they often are in front of you!

Flatirons has character. It's been my home course for years and it always challenges me. It is mature and in great condition considering the volume of play and drought. It plays long as it is basically flat. The many tall trees and water hazards mandate control. Greens are very well maintained and are challenging due to many subtle breaks. Lots of memorable holes. The par 4 16, 445 yds. from the blacks, is one of the top holes in the area -3 water hazards on the left, trees and OB on the right, and a sloping green that would impress Augusta. Bogie is a good score here.

Driving range is mats and grass on some days. Two good practice greens and a pitching/chipping green make this a good place to practice.

This course forces you to hit the ball straight off the tee. Also, the view is great and the pro-shop staff is very friendly.

Near the middle of the summer, the grass is almost all gone, therefore you are hitting balls off the sand. Also, on the weekend the tee-times are booked too close together making the course very slow. I reccomend playind on the week days.

Overall this is a fairly nice course, but without your "A" game, can be very challenging. Every hole is lined w/trees, so when you miss the fairway, you are facing a bogey. The course is kept in very cood shape, although a lot of the time the fairways and grees are over watered, resulting in very little roll.

Overall a good and challenging course

A fun, somewhat challenging course. I could understand not enjoying it as much if I were a better golfer however. I think it is geared more toward the weekend golfer than the pro.

The 10th hole is too close to the driving range. If you hit your ball to the left side fo the fairway, wear a helmet taking your 2nd shot or you may get knocked out. Not to mention it may take you 5 minutes to find your ball amonsgt hundreds of range balls. This course can be very slow on the weekends, but most courses are anymore.

I play this course frequently and always have enjoyed it. It is not extremely difficulty, but there are a few tough hole. I like to play here when I know it is going to be a hot day because there are a lot of mature trees all over the course. This course is very flat and the holes are close together so walkning the course is my prefered way to play this one. I think this course is a reasonable value for the condition the course is in. It is generally nicely kept, but not immaculate like a resort course. I would take my friends to play here anytime.

The snack shop is owned and operated by the Dark Horse so the food is great and the service is excellent. I love the chicken sandwich. I really don't like hitting the driving rang if they have you hitting off mats.

Terrible course. I wouldn't play it again if you payed me! The course is very anticlimactic and I just wanted to get my round over with. Green fees are too expensive for the quality of golf experienced. Another rate increase was put into effect recently and totally lacks justification. The course would be worth playing for about a dollar a hole and no more.
