Have played this course many times. Back nine is easier than front nine. Most recently played it in Oct. 2011 and have never seen it in better condition. Well worth the price paid. |

This is an interesting track to play. I would recommend early play as it gets pretty windy there in the afternoons. Good track and from the back Tee's it will make you play shots rather than just swinging away. Greens in good shape most of the time. Nice practice facility and pro shop which seems to be rare up north for a good place to practice. I enjoyed this track and did get in some bunker play and you will too. Customer Service Very good and decent pro shop pricing too |

Great course! The layout keeps you interested and challenged. The fairways are fairly generous which sure helps on the windy days. The course is beautiful on a fall afternoon when the golden prairie grass contrasts against the green fairways. The last two years, the greens have been top notch, best-in-class. Greens are firmer than most public tracks and it is often hard to even find your divot -- which may explain the lack of unrepaired divots compared to similar courses. It also explains why you see so many people chipping from behid the green. My all-time-favorite par five is on the back, #13 and its a brute, taking a full three shots for us mortals, and requiring a lot of thought. Customer Service Very friendly staff that makes you feel welcome, nice restaurant too. For a muni course, The Heritage is extremely well maintained. Greens always seem to be in good shape, although towards the end of summer are not looking to great due to people not fixing ball marks. Fairways are well maintained as well. Pratice facilities are great. This is a long course to walk. Agree w/ previous poster that morning tee times are best as the course is not protected by trees and it can get very windy on some afternoons. You can't beat the price for a course of this quality. This is a relatively new course (openned 1999) but has been developing well. Tee boxes are in good shape, though some are still in the process of being openned. Greens are in very good condition considering their age. Fairways are in even better shape, but don't get far off them. The rough is quite difficult, being natural prairie weed and many areas are closed due to environmental impact. Customer Service Very friendly, helpful. Excellent $25 Preferred Players card has great 2/1 deals. Similar Products Used: Range faces west with setting sun making it difficult to follow shot late in day. |
