Shoots in the 80s

This has slowly become one of my favorite local courses. I live in Fort Collins and much rather travel to a course like this than play the bland generic golf my city has to offer. I am a mid 80's guy and Ute offers a challenge as well as an opportunity to put up a good number if you can keep the ball in play. Its key to get off to a good start because holes 1 and 2 are among the easiest holes to throw up a low number. Houses on the course hurt the integrity a little but what course doesnt boast that problem these days. If you can get a rate under 40 bucks this course is a steal.

Shoots in the 80s

Ute Creek has been my home course since moving to Colorado so I may be predjudiced. Super nice facility in the high $20s for city residents. A fine experience in links golf. The front nine is wide open and generous and allows you to go for broke. The back nine places more demands on your tee shot with slightly tighter fairways and closer hazards. Course is susceptible to high winds as there are no trees. Usually plays hard and fast and while there are tons of bunkers, all of them are in view and are fair. You can post a good number on this course if your game is on. Greens are relatively flat and true - doesn't require local knowledge on greens. The greens on holes #6 and #14 have the most slope too them. There are 6 different pin locations on the scorecard so be sure to check with the proshop before teeing off.

Customer Service

Excellent golf pros and pro shop staff. Food bar needs to be upgraded but the city has done a good job of hiring quality people.

Has a pretty decent range and pitching green with bunkers next to the range. Extra large putting green fairly well represents the greens & speed on the course.

The course is very nice. If you love lots of bunker this is the place to go.
