Shoots in the 90s

This review is for the regulation 9 hole part of the course. Overall a descent course, a good variety in holes mostly par 4's two 3's and two 5's. Both par 3's can be reached easily with a 9 iron. Not an abundance of skill is required for this course, as the fairways are huge, and the rough is easy to play out of. Dog legs almost every par 4, however the greens are huge, and inviting, But once you get on they are extremely tricky, weird breaks, I expended majority of my strokes on putting. One hole you must go over water. One of the par 3's goes parrallel with Sheridan Blvd, so don't slice or you'll be hitting traffic! As far as upkeep, the course was very well kept, greens were a pleasure to putt on however very tricky as stated.

Customer Service

Walked in on a Saturday and got out right away, no complaints here.

Shoots in the 100s

Hyland Hills has four courses. The Blue and Gold courses are regulation 9 and 18 hole courses. There are also two par-3 courses, the North and South courses. This review refers to the South par-3 course. I truly enjoy this course. It is tended well (for a par-3), varied, and challenging. It is also fairly inexpensive.

Customer Service

On the course they are very nice, although rarely seen.

The driving range is above average, but there is no chipping green. The pro shop seems well-stocked too.

Shoots in the 80s

My first time on the course with three other single digit handicappers also playing their first rounds there. Excellent course routing and golf environment using the water hazards and trees and doglegs. The par fives and longer par fours are wide open, but the mid range par fours are very tight and place a premium on tee shot accuracy rather than length. Wait til you tee it up on #10. The par threes require the golfer to hit to the proper level on the green. Safe to say on all the holes that it's best to be below the cup with approach shots. There are too many tall trees and meandering streams to get away with errant shots. Putting greens were in fine shape, and although they are very firm they have enough and undulation to hold most well hit iron shots. This is a course that requires a good deal of local knowledge.

Customer Service

Good. People in the pro-shop were just there to take your money, but the on-course marshalls were courteous and friendly enough to suggest shots since none of our foursome had ever played the course.

Driving range was dead - grass was either yellowed or completely turned to dust.

Shoot in the 90s

Had the chance to try this course this past summer and was pleased with what I saw. Tees, fairways, and greens appeared to be very well maintained. There are several courses at this one location and believe I shot the #2 course but was able to view the other 18 hole course while there. It looked to be in the same well grommed state.

Customer Service

Was not made to feel welcome. More like "hurry up and get outta here"
