Highland Meadows is a real treat.
Note: the course swapped holes #7-9 for 16-18 starting July 2010, so holes 7-9 are now #16-18 (and vise versa), which provides for a better "flow" and more scenic finishing hole near the clubhouse/grill. Course conditions are wonderful--VERY well maintained. Greens are appropriately fast, but not unduly so, considering the undulations. Many holes have a risk-reward element off the tee (especially #6, 7, 14, 15, 17, 18) where the more you "bite off", the more reward you get. Lots of variety in the holes here. Great views of the front range. Nice practice areas. The homes on the front 9 sit well back from the course with lots of "buffer" which helps the course feel more open and beautiful. A really fun course to play.

Highland Meadows is a challenging links type course with abundantly wide fairways and an overall undulating surface area with many slope and elevation changes. This is a big, wide track folks that giddily rewards your biggest swing attempts off the tee box! The layout incorporates natural arroyos and gulches which gives the course both shape and boundary. Slope, sand or water is effectively in play on every shot. Thankfully however the massive fairways are so roomy the errant off-target shot isn't overly penalized. This is a beautiful course with scenic views of the front range and protected native grasslands dominating the surrounding landscape. As on all great golf courses prevailing winds and pin placement will guide your course strategy. I found the greens to be appropriately accessible for a challenging course with 4 pars being the least receptive with the most greenside hazards versus 3's and 5's affording more scoring opportunity. Big hitters can score well on this course but there is also penalty for being to long on some tee shots. 12,13,14 are 3 consecutive elevated grip-it-and-rip-it holes where rainbow fades and duck hooks can remain in play and still have scoring chances. Holes playing uphill or into the wind is where your going to give up precious strokes. A brisk head wind on the front -nine finishing hole can reward you on approach with a cool- refreshing spray while you watch your uphill shot kerplunk into the greenside fountain feature! Top to bottom everything else is up to par amenity and customer service wise and it's a great golfing value.

Spend your money somewhere else, this course has a long way to go before charging you this much.

Customer Service

O.K. beverage cart came by 3 or 4 times in 18 holes but it was morning and didn't need much.
