Short course but rewarding. Not your traditional style grip it and rip it. Errand shots will not be rewarded. Every hole is different and unique. Greens are true and fast. You won't be disappointed playing this course.

Shoots in the 80s

I have played this course for a number of years now as a the last resort. The other course around us are booked up or have something going on that day and that time we want to get out.
It looks like to me and the guys I play with that the owner takes the $52.00 a round and put it in his pocket and nothing back into the course the rail road tie steps are falling down and the fare ways have rocks though out. The price should only be $20.00 for a round on a week end.The owner is in his 80's maybe is time for him to sell or get some one to do some up keep around the course Don't waste your money go to Twin hills or Blackledge or Tallwood or even maybe Willimantic.

I've played this course about once a year for the past 5 years. Each time hoping to like it. It is a tight course with interesting holes, but I've always found the conditions to be below average when compared to Tallwood, Rockledge, Blackledge etc.

LISTEN UP GOLFERS: If you want to get out and play a great golf course, go play Skungamaug. Every hole is unique, and carries substance different from the last. You may get dominated by this course, but I would bet you will want to come back to seek revenge. Tight fairways and quick greens are what you can look foward to(ideal conditions for lovers of the game). THIS COURSE WAS RATED IN THE TOP FIVE IN THE STATE! It is a definate treat and you could''t regret it.

Customer Service

The staff is extremely proffesional yet treats everyone with uncanny kindness. They are very efficient.

Shoot in the 90s

I found this course to be very difficult at times but enjoyable for the most part. The maintenence of this course was very good overall. The tee-boxes were nice and green with very little dirt and divots. While playing I experienced very little difficulty with divots or other man-made problems. The greens were very fast but well kept with no divots or dry areas. This course was a good challenge for me and it made me focus on aiming and accuracy rather than distance.

Customer Service

It was very easy to get a tee time and I was able to start when I was ready. This took away the stress related to the first tee shot of the round, allowing me to play a nice relaxed round of golf.

The restaurant had a small selection but had very good prices. The pro shop had a great amount of clubs and equipement but the prices were fairly high.
