Went out my way to play WW/PB based on reviews and net buzz. Showed up as a single and signed in. Pro shop couldn't contact starter but thought I could join a three some. Sold me bag (1 quart size) of range ball for $5. Range is opposite direction of PB #1 tee. Did get right off on #1 so didn't get to range. No refund on range balls; just a rain check. Like I'm going to drive 3000 miles to collect. Course was like a nice muni but rather hammered. Gets a lot of play. Couple of holes seemed like an after thought...down in an ugly barren gully. Maybe I expected too much. I don't remember a single hole as really good or bad. Muni grade golf overall.

Customer Service

Pro shop staff were nice enough. Tried to make me feel good about the rain check. Didn't try snack bar...appeared average.

Traveled a looong ways to play. Showed up as a single. Paid green fees and $5 for a bag of balls (about 1 quart's worth). Pro shop tells me they don't know if the starter is ahead or behind on his groups. I head over to Pine Barrens and they plug me into a threesome right now. No time to hit the range. Course was fun...but had a hammered feel to it. Gets a lot of play. Tee boxes were muni grade. Greens were early season but quick. Just a bit ragged overall. Average plus. Layout was interesting but some of the holes felt like designer afterthoughts, especially one par three down in the gully...ugly.

Customer Service

So I get back to the pro shop and explain that I had no chance to use the range balls. "Sorry, Charlie...no refunds". So my $5 raincheck valid for 13 months is in my wallet...like I will travel 2500 miles to play this one again. Staff were nice but the policy is cheesy.

The course is great, but last Sunday the management was terrible. We had ELEVEN foursomes playing between hole #4 and #7. After it took an hour and 15 minutes to play 3 holes, we decided to go back to the clubhouse and get our money back. No Dice. The policy is to issue a pro-rated rain check. Because there were 8 of us and about a dozen witnesses to the discussion with the bone head behind the counter, theyfinally relented and gave us a rain check for the entire amount paid. My advice is to NEVER play there on a weekend; they have no idea how to police their course (they admitted this when we came in...they asked us what we expected them to do about slow play!!!).

Customer Service

Terrible! There was no one there who seemed to even care about the fact that they had 8 very unhappy customers who drove an hour to be mistreated so grievously. Service is terrible at the Pro Shop.

We went down the road to Hernando Oaks, a great course, and played an enjoyable round. Skip World Woods on the weekends unless you LIKE to play 6 hours a round.

The best I have ever played. We go on vacation all the time. We are about 5 minutes from the course and everyday for a week we play at the two wonderfull courses. The Pine Barrons Course when playing from the back tees is very challenging. The one par 5 you have to carry the ball around 220 yards over hazzards. The Rolling Oaks is just as challenging but without the big hazzards.

If you come to Florida, you must play here. Ranked 34th in the country, for good reason. Two completly different courses - play them both in the same day during the summer, when the rates drop (if you can take the heat). Rolling Oaks (Augusta-like) will get you smiling, while Pine Barrens (Pinehurst-like) will have you gritting your teeth in anticipation (fear?) of what your next shot might present. A beautiful, and still relatively unknown, golf EXPERIENCE.

Customer Service

Good 36-hole rates in the summer.

Only had a chance to play the Pine Barans course - great layout. It is strange to see a course in Central FL with elevation changes. A truly great and fair track for anyone. Well worth the drive, about $50 less than the TPC of Tampa and twice the quality. Can't wait to play the other 18.

Customer Service

Great, friendly staff.

What a treat. Have played multiple times and each time is worth the effort to get there. Tremendous practice facility...huge range (balls provided), 2 acre putting green & 3 hole warm up course.

Okay, listen to me and listen good. World Woods is an amazing place, a true golfing mecca. There are two Tom Fazio course, Rolling Oaks and Pine Barren. When you go, make time to play both courses. Rolling Oaks is a Fazio tribute to Augusta and Pine Barren is his tribute to Pine Valley. Rolling Oaks has sprawling fiarways and large greens and is allway in perfect condition. Pine Barren is really the gem, it is an incredible course that is difficult to decribe. When in central Florida...either orlando or the Tampa Bay area... this is the golfing experience you should not miss.

Unique great facility. Read what the others, especially Steve, has said. If possible you should play there, you will not be disappointed. Check in the summer as they have unusually good deals. For example, over last weekend for $170.00 per person my wife and I each got 27 holes of golf per day (9 holes is on the short course-which is a nice par 3 course.....the other 18 per day is on one of the regular courses), rooms for two nights, breakfast and lunch each day.....you can't beat it. plus the two main courses are 5 star courses........

Customer Service
