Jonathan's Landing is a residential community that offers three golf courses. The course are private, but open to play for the summer, and accept some recipical club memberships.

For the purposes of this review, I am rating only the J. Landing Fazio-design course at Old Trail.

The Village Course is located inside the main development. There are two other courses located in western Jupiter off of Mack Dairy Farm Road known as The Trail Courses. One of the Trail Courses was designed by T. Fazio, and it is simply beautiful, and recently underwent a major renovation. Because these two trail courses are located in a very wooded setting, they just look more appealing for play.

The Village Course is about what you would expect in a residential communuity design constrained by houses. The holes are very straight forward with the exception of one that is bisected by a canal and requires you to drive your cart onto a ferry boat for a short journey across. This may be a one of a kind for a golf course!

The Trails courses are the ones to play for several reasons. First, the greens seem to roll faster and do not have nearly as many unrepaired ball marks on them. The Village Course greens (par 3's are the worst) have so many pitch marks that you would swear you were playing at a public golf course. Sad. Even more sad, with some regularity (no pun intended) some of the older members will play into you. No one should be made to feel unwelcome if you pay to play, but the Village Course has a completely different "atmosphere" than the Trail courses.
