Playing our 1st 9 holes we waited on every shot. The ranger did nothing to speed up play. When we arrived at the turn the starter told us in no uncertain terms to get to the next tee. We told him we needed something to drink. He got real nasty and stated that if we wanted to play anymore then we had better get to the tee or get off the course.
There were 4 of us from Michigan and we will not return.

Customer Service

The starter from January 14, 2010 at 11:30 should be fired. He was obnoxious and rude.

We played Legacy, Waterford, Sarasota National and the Preserve that week.The personal at these courses were a whole lot more polite than the jerk at Heron Creek.

27 holes of great golf,only the strong need apply, but worth the torture.all (3) nines play long from blue tees,will'be back next year!

It's gorgeous -- not mountainous but not as flat as much of Florida. Well maintained with lots of variety and challenge. Fun greens with few flat putts. Lots of wildlife and good scenery.

I just generally hate paying US$50 and up. Some of the real estate is still under construction, but it's a nice development. It's been dry and the course is new, so some ponds look as man-made as they are. Nothing special about the reception and service, but nothing evil either. Current clubhouse bar/restaurant pretty boring, stark, institutional (I think a new clubhouse is to be built soon)

This is a winner. We played every day for over a week in the Sarasota area and this is the one we repeated. Not cheap but good relative value, and nice touches like free range balls and tees.
