Do NOT go to Imperial Lakewoods Golf Course. Paid $26 for a course that was so bad the 1st time we played that even the starter said it was "in horrible shape". Stupidly went back, told the cashier I wanted to try & get 18 in (5pm start), she said just pay for 9 & had to be done by 7:30. The cart guy, John knew exactly what she had told me but wouldn't let me keep going. Treated me like I was trying to cheat them out of an extra $11. He just wanted to leave & I'd been fine quitting if he'd stated that. I could see the group in front of me leaving the 1st green too(started me on back 9), I won't be back.

Shoots in the 90s

This course is in terrible shape from the tee boxes to the greens. Putts look like they are in a pinball machine rather than on a golf course. Fairways are in poor shape as well. I can't believe they are charging as much as they are, I am not sure I'd pay half the fee.

Drive by this course on I-75 and all you see are Mobile Homes (not a trailer park, but kind of cheesy looking) But like the best Hollywood movie sets, the "false-front" hides the truth - a beautiful golf course. You play, and you think "where are the houses?" "All I see are trees, lush fairways, immaculate undulating greens, and water...lots of it.)" Will have you grinning all the way to the 600-yard par-5 18th, which bends all the way around a big lake. A beautiful risk/reward hole that makes you want to come back and play again. A little pricey, but surprisingly worth the money. Take a chance - if you like to play a real golf course, you'll like this one.

All staff very friendly. They really want you to spread the word, as this is a relatively unknown course.
