Played the "King & The Bear" course in February - like the first reviewer said, the course was in absolutely perfect condition. The regular greens fees are around $170 but is well worth it. The practice facilities are excellent (you get free range use, plus a practice sand and chipping green, as well as putting green). Course is challenging but not impossible for never having played it. They also give you a complimentary course book with hole descriptions and yardages. There are many holes where water is a factor, but there are always bail out areas if you want to play safe. The greens are beautiful, large, and true.

All the facilities are now open, but finding the place can be a little difficult - it is a few miles down the road from the WGV itself, with no sign pointing the way.

Customer Service

Many in our group played another 9 for only an additional $35.

For the Slammer & Squire course, the fairways and greens were in great shape. The course had a lot of water that came into play and swallowed up wayward shots. I played in mid-November so they were getting the course in shape for the LPGA/SrPGA Hall of Fame golf event.
For the King & Bear course, this was the most perfect course that I have played. Being open to the public for 4 days by the time I played meant that the course didn't have any wear or tear at all. As the course grows in more and they mark the appropriate directions (signage) to get around the course, the service aspect will be a better experience.

Customer Service

Very good in taking the tee times, but the information did not flow as well between the 2 courses.

Pro shop at World Golf Village was helpful; however, there needs to be better communication/coordination between the 2 courses. This is especially true as there is not much of a formal set-up at King & Bear.
