Most of the reviews are old so let me add a newer one. I played Candler Park for the first time today, although I have driven past it many times in the last few years. It is much improved. The proshop has received a nice updating and the course itself looks pretty good. This is "pasture golf" and I don't mean that in a negative sense at all. It is not badly maintained just not manicured as the larger club courses are. The knocks I've read about this course in the past has mostly been regarding the poor greens. Well, the greens were fine today. They were actually nicer than a lot of the nicer courses I play. Small, slow, yes, but they rolled true and didn't contain a lot of ball marks. Only one green (#8) had a couple of bare spots near the front & Left edge. Other than that, I give the greens a B+. This is a FUN course that is great for beginners and casual players, but there are a couple of holes that are quite a challenge from the blue tees at least so it's not a piece of cake. I'll definitely play it again. I love little courses like this.

This is a good par-3 and -4 golf course to work on your iron game. Very cheap, i.e. good value for the money. I recommend taking only irons (incl. driving iron) and no woods/metals or utility hybrids, and work the course.

Customer Service

the people are friendly, but with the latest budget crunches, they are getting a lot tighter about checking I.D. for residency discounts. Haven't tried the pro shop services.

This course is a great deal and very pleasant after 6 pm. It's true, there are lots of hackers here (like me), but there are some challenging par 3s and you get a nice walk all for the price of a bucket of balls at the range.

Customer Service

Very Friendly, nice folks.

8-11-01 - I decided to play today around 4pm, drove over and picked up a first time "Candler / People's Country Club, player. We enjoyed our 9 and were home in time for dinner. A great value under $9 and under $6 for us seniors. better than a driving range and you get some exercise. A group of us play often and wait for the "Sunrise" to tee off. Tee boxes and greens need some rest and recouperation, but for the price it sure beats, doing chores.

Customer Service

The Staff is friendly and accomodating, you cannot make a tee time, but it's not necesary

A short 9 holes and not well maintained. But, if you can score here (lots of trouble) you can score just about anywhere. You can't beat this place for a very inexpensive, easy to get out, practice round. Very nice staff.

Customer Service

Very welcoming. Service is great. Have your clubs regripped.

course is the best 9-hole for your buck. instead of buying a bucket of balls, you can play a round. not very challenging, but its there. great place to work on your short iron game. greens and tee boxes are in horrific shape, but for under $9 why not. very accesible and hardly crowded

Customer Service

no tee times necessary, just go out
