this course isnt in great shape and the greens are in bad shape the fairways have lots of weeds but it a good course to walk. it is flat and most holes are pretty straight it isnt in great shape and id much rather play at the course 5 miles from my house called bartram trail but this is a good course to practice and walk 9 or 18 holes.

Model Reviewed: Augusta Golf Course

Price on weekends is high for what you get: a short muni course, with narrow fairways and small, hard greens. And hidden, unmarked, overgrown drainage ditchs that eat golf balls and can break your ankle or golf cart axle. I guess the best thing to do is just hit it in the fairway.

Customer Service

Friendly and competent, but not very outgoing unless that know you.

I have been playing "The Cabbage Patch" for 35+ years. My Dad would drop me off at 8am and pick me up at 7pm during the summers of my youth. It is like most over played municipal courses. You have got to know where not to hit the ball! It is in the best shape I have seen in mant years.

Customer Service

Excellant!

In a word... Terrible. Overall condition was poor. Greens were all nasty with bare spots and bumps, teeboxes were bad, and the fairways needed lots of work. Customer service was awful too. Most of the players on the cousre where playing in the wrong fairways. I played the course after a month of good rain, and it was still the worst I've ever seen.

Customer Service

Terrible customer service. Pro shop service was unprofessional and rude. Snack bar service was good.

There is a lot of history for me at the "Patch". First caddied there for my friends father in early 60's. I love the "Patch". Sure the conditions there are not always the best but they are pretty consistent. Try hitting the 1st green with your 2nd shot and making it stick. Small greens and bad lies make it a tough course. I have seen it change many times over the years and I still like it. Whenever I come back to Augusta I still love to go back to the patch and play. I like the new clubhouse but I miss the old barracks building with all of it's charm. I can still see Red Douglas in the old building with all of the regulars(Irish Mafia, etc)and the guys playing cards in the locker room. By the way, Red's son Lawson(who I went to school with)used to serve some of the hottest and best mustard you ever had with the steamed hot dogs. No wonder we always drank so many beers. The patch may not rank with with many of the other splendid courses in Augusta in terms of conditioning but there will always be a welcome spot in my heart for the "Patch".

Customer Service

You are always welcomed there. They are not pretentious.

What do ya expect from a place that proudly says that its nickname is The Cabbage Patch? This a municipal course that makes you wonder where our tax dollars are going. Worse municipal course I have ever played.

Customer Service

Fair to good
