Length. I'm not a long hitter, so the relatively short layout makes one feel like they can hit every green in 2 shots without going 300 off the tee

Weather conditions -- can be extremely windy at times being on the lake.

I played Sat 3/27/04, and reminded myself why I, too, love this course. Granted, the greens were in bad shape (sandy & slow) due to aeration 4 days earlier, but that is the exception -- normally in really good shape.

Customer Service

The young guy at the bag drop was a jerk and a half, but Dir of Golf (M. Williams I believe) is cool. Cart girl was lazy and didn't try too hard to get around the course.

A great course at a great price. One of my favorites in GA. Over looking coctale cove on lanier. Caution may get hassled by drunken boaters but that is always good for a laugh. Highly suggest this course.

Lake Lanier, fun short layout. 15th and 18th holes are really challenging. 15th is a par 3 signature hole over water to a green at the tip of penisula. 18th is over water to the landing area and then a 2nd shot (hopefully) over water to another penisula green. Bring your camera.

I love this course, 8 holes on Lake Lanier and a great layout. Some nice elevation changes on the front and lots of water throughout.

It may not be overly challenging for low handicappers since its rather short, but for the rest of us it's quite an ego boost to hit a 3 wood off the tee and a wedge into the green.

The course is usally in top condition aside from the normal aeration in spring. They overseed the greens and the fairways so the winter is a great time to head out since its much less crowded.
