The course definitely has changed for the better! The 27 holes at Gordon Lakes are definitely worth a visit. I really enjoyed playing all 3 of the 9-hole courses (Pine, Lake and Island). The courses are well maintained, challenging and fun to play. These courses got it all from doglegs, up and down hills, fairways through wooded areas to island greens! All three courses are challenging for golfers at all levels and can be played all year round. Gordon Lakes is a great place to go and enjoy a day out on the course!

The new 9 is fantastic. If they would just maintain the old 18 it would be a lot of fun to play! They put in an irrigation system 2 springs ago and there is still a dirt line running down the middle of a lot of faiways. Long par 4s and short par 5s on the old course. The new 9 is perfect!

Customer Service

Not great if you are not in military!

Just like every else says, this course could benefit from better upkeep. That being said, though, it's really a lot of fun with turns, elevation changes, and plenty of water to make you think. The "island" 6th brings to mind the 17th at TPC Sawgrass, and the dogleg par-5 16th will make you pay dearly for not thinking through every shot you make. I played out there last week, and the course is in much better shape than I'd anticipated, with the fairways having grown in reasonably well, and the greens playing smoothly, if not a bit slow. This really is a great value, and I recommend getting a round in soon, as it's in better shape for this time of year than several other courses in the area.

Customer Service

It's good, depending on the mood of the staff.

There's a large putting green to work on, but no area for chipping or bunker practice.

I play this couse about 3-4 times a month. It has a very good design, but like the other reviews have said, "it needs to maintained better." The management has plans to improve the tee boxes (they need it), the greens, and a little extra to the restaurant area. The new 9 is due to open in a month and it looks outstanding. I just don't see how they plan to keep up with it if they are failing to keep up with the 18 they have already. Overall though, it's a diamond in the rough.

Customer Service

Not to shabby. Especially OZ, when he's in a good mood

Robert Trent Jones course that has been allowed to suffer through poor maintenance. Installed a new irrigation system this spring but as of 5-13-02 have not used it to irrigate course. New 9 due to open this summer. This course is not maintained anywhere near what it was just 5 yers ago.

Customer Service

Very nice and friendly, they just don''t keep the course in good condition.

I played during Masters week when the Price was doubled. The fairways and greens did warrant the increase in price. Great design, but maintainence sorely lacking.

I play this course at least 3 times per month. Excellent Robert Trent Jones Design. This course seems extremely long but your score won't reflect it. Average fairway and greens although the greens could be cut a little closer. This course could be absolutely awesome with a little more maintenance. The price is nice especially if your in the military or a government contractor. Above average practice facility and clubhouse.
