Good mix of holes, challenging finishing stretch, small, fast, undulating greens, and risk/reward holes.

Poor bunker conditions(not much sand in the numerous bunkers lining the course), lack of penalizing rough, and lack of creative fairway cutting(no difinitive beginning of the rough).

I play this course as my home course and am proud to say that this golf deal is probably the best in America. With a club membership you are automatically part of the Canongate system. The Canongate system is a club that spans 7 golf courses(171 holes of golf!). One membership in the system is a membership to all the courses. The courses vary in personality with wide varieties of playing challenges. Two courses in the giant system, Planterra Ridge and Brailinn, have hosted sectional and local U.S. Open qualifiers. The highlight of Planterra Ridge is it''s great greens, difficult layout and great risk/reward holes.
