It's a love/hate relationship.

Short course from the white, tight fairways and smallish greens. Ob's abound, especially along the back nine.

Bring a low ball because the wind blows, especially in the afternoons. Played once in 15mph winds and it was real tough. Almost impossible. 16th(?) is a short par 3 (90 yds max) dead into the wind. Needed a 5 iron.

Great track. A must play when on Maui. Get an early tee time if you don't have a "wind game". Course is still young but it plays great. As it matures this course will only get better.

Visited Maui in Jan/01, and got hooked on this course. Challenging layout requires a fairly strong game. Well-maintained with several elevated tees and greens. Every bit as enjoyable as the resort courses at almost half the price. Located approx 30 minutes from both Wailea/Makena and Kaanapali heading towards the airport.

I have played most of the Hawaiian courses in the last two years. This is my alltime least favorite. The course is just too tricked up for the average golfer. I thought it was just me being a beginner but I asked one of the top ranked pros in the state and he said it was his least favorite as well. I hate the layout. The construction of track houses is a distraction and will be worse when they are completed. Having said that, the greens are in good condition, staff is nice and it is good value compared to other courses.

Why did I go to Lani to play golf when Maui had this beauty in my vacationing backyard. Beautiful fairways lined with Kiawe trees and sand dunes, large rolling greens, medium fast, plenty of sand traps, paved cart paths. Chioce of yardage tee's. Golf does not get much better than this. Played the course in May-00.

Customer Service

Friendly staff, tee times easy to make.
