I was lucky enough to play the Plantation Course on 7/19/06. I found the course to be incredibly beautiful, incredibly long, and incredibly humbling. They ask $295.00 per round before 2:00PM and $125.00 after. I talked to the pro and was able to get on @ 1:50 PM for the reduced rate of $125.00 and completed the round in 3:49. Huge greens make you feel good when you reach in regulation, but three putts were very common (That’s not the courses fault). The obvious is that the course is incredibly scenic on almost every hole, and knowing that the Pros play there as well doesn’t suck either. Wind played a major factor on some holes like 9. I hit a 290 drive consistently and I only got about 170 off the tee, followed by a three wood that normally gets me about 250, I got another 130. I would have been better trying to hit a low iron shot and hope for more roll but it is to tempting especially when you have valleys to carry. Anyway I thoroughly enjoyed the course and will plat it again (only at the reduced rate) and again. Just for your info I am a 15 handicap and shot a 92 with 8 lost balls (Lateral hazards), I feel that it was my game more then the course that tore me up.

Beautiful Course if you want to get a feel of what the "winners" on the PGA Tour have to play at the season opener's Mercedes Championships. The Bermuda rough makes it extremely difficult to hit out of and believe me YOU WILL find yourself in the rough when either the Trade or Kona winds set in blowing your ball in every direction. When I played the course in July of 2004, the WINDS, greens, and rough just ate me alive. The 9th hole plays up wind and I hit my driver only 150 yards because the wind was so strong! But I am just amazed at how well the pro's can handle those conditions when I watched the tourney in January of 2005. The course is not the greatest if you are expecting to shoot a low score (unless you hit like the pro's) but you will definitely love the scenery of Lanai, Moloka'i, and the Pacific Ocean. Be sure to have lots of memory on your digital camera!

Customer Service

The visitor rate I believe is around $200-300. But if you get Kamaaina (locals) rates it's only $60. Great pro shop for numerous souvenirs.
