The design here doesn't excite me much, but it is a decent course. It's better than some courses in the Boise area.

Customer service and care are without doubt the worst in the Intermountain Northwest. It is dfficult to enjoy this
golf course when the treatment and behavior of the staff is so incredibly bad.

Customer Service

The Boise Ranch staff accepted a tee-time for Saturday 7/21/07 at 7:59 AM without offering the salient fact that no carts would be available. For medical reasons we required at least one cart. Most golfers would not necessarily have a list of questions regarding the exceptions and limitations in effect when making a tee-time and none were offered by the Boise Ranch staff.

A nice course that lets you get away with errant tee shots. You can play this course "grip it and rip it" style and most of the time recovery is very possible. A fun course, take your buddies that are "less than best."

I have played this course many times. The course is very straight forward. It does play a little long for the medium/short hitters. But there isn't a lot of trouble to get into and if you are a slicer there isn't a lot of OB to find. There is water a few holes that you have to shoot over but it just adds to the fun. Greens are large and kept well. There are some greens with ridiculous slope depending on pin placement and a few two tier greens makes for interesting puts if you are not on the right level. Over all it is a course that allows for good scores for the average and above average player. The poor service is the main reason for such a low score. Golf should be a relaxing/pleasant experience and when you don't even feel like a respected customer from the moment you check in at the front desk how are you suppose to enjoy your overall experience. Shooting your best score for the round is about the only way.

Customer Service

Poor at best. I have yet to experience good friendly service over multiple visits. It always appears like I am interrupting the employee's day when I check in or wish to purchase a bucket of balls. Cart attendants have almost run me over continuously when retrieving carts as well. Management continuously squeezes in foursomes in the middle of regularly scheduled tee-times. Don't expect to be treated like a paying customer unless you are best friends with the staff.

This is a fun course. You can''t beat their twilight rate. I did about 27 holes one night for like $15!!! They have some really picturesque holes.

Not a real great golf course. Very easy, no trouble off the tee. The greens are big and easy to hit, although some of them have ridiculous humps or slopes in them. Very obvious that the course was not designed by a professional. A good course for a beginner or for a player who likes to grip and rip. Also beware of the bugs and it can be very windy out there.

The Boise Ranch is layed out on what appears to be old corn or wheat fields. The course itself is beautiful. The tee boxes are well kept and the greens were in great shape when I played. There are several bathroom facilities on the course as well. The average golfer will find this course challenging but not to the point that you would not want to return. Bring your best long ball to this course as it has more par 5's and 4's. The long hitter will fair better than the finesse short gamer.

Customer Service

Tee times are standard two days in advance.
