The beauty of the course . Set in the mountains of Sun Valley, you can smell sage and pine everywhere. And the scenery is so beautiful you continually pinch yourself. The course is fair and challenging.

Unfortunately some of the small-minded policies prevent the experience from being rated higher ....such as charging extra for range balls and tees. For $120 this should easily be included . The electric carts are very old, and the play can be slow. An indifferent staff checks you in. Any complaints about the course are ignored by the staff.

This course is one of the most beautiful, scenic courses I have ever played. Views are of nearby Baldy, the ski mountain. You have everything from rushing streams and wooded glens to wide open meadows. The elevation changes add to the lovely mountain adventure. It is mandatory to take a cart. The condition of the fairways is excellent, and the greens are good, but can be slow.
It is expensive...$120 with a cart.

Customer Service

If you are not a guest at the Sun Valley Lodge, tee times cannot be made more than 5 days ahead. The staff is not particularly friendly. But I would still recommend playing this beautiful course.

The range is a little far from the facility. And the restaurant is just a little window for takeout. Be careful of falling backwards off the short step there.
