had the opportunity to play this public course twice this summer. i cannot praise this course enough for its playability. this course was a pleasure to play. i will be visiting southern illinois soon and hope to play this course again. a great value.

i played this golf course twice while visiting in the area. i golf in the northeast, so i was very pleased to play a public golf course in such excellent condition and reasonably priced.

Overall layout is world class. Steve Smyers the architect has done as great a work here as any of his more famous courses...to bad this one is in such a small populated area or it would be recognized as one of his best.

Conditioning is not as good as the golf course deserves. I am assuming that this is because of the small market and what is required to maintain the course and still attract customers. Don''t get me wrong, the conditioning is good...its just not immaculate resort conditions.

Absolutely the best golf course that southern Illinois has to offer. 18 great holes with over 90 bunkers. Fantastic greens both smooth and fast.
