I just read the nhl boy's review and figured I had to post since his favorite golf course is a common goat ranch known as Woodbine. Those who haven't played it would know that Woodbine is nothing more than an Executive course compared to The Sanctuary. It is a pitch and putt with a nice clubhouse. Now, for a review on the Sanctuary: It is a very fair golf course that lends itself to low scoring; however, you can lay an egg on any hole out there with an errant shot. Not overly long. Some tight holes but an excellent challenge. Wind plays a factor some days. Bent tees, fairways, and greens were in nice shape. Bunkers could use some more sand, but understanding this is a municipal facility it is an excellent value.

Customer Service

Golf shop service was friendly and quick. Starter/ranger/marshall staff made themselves apparent. No issues with C/S.

Half price version of Harborside. Very similar to Prairie Bluff but on less land and with less wind. Heritage Bluffs would be another one I'd consider similar. Not even close to the cow pastures nearby : woodbine, old oak, joliet pd courses, etc.

Sanctuary Golf Course is absolutely the worst golf course I have every played at. This course is in such terrible shape. You will lose quite a few golf balls there. There are a few holes that go through the forest that are nice but every hole is tight. I have played at this course once and has never even thought about going back. The nicest thing this course has is it's driving range, not going to lie, it is a very nice driving range though. I will never go back and play the course again. But I will go back to their driving range. Overall: Worst course I have ever been at, course is in terrible shape.
