Shoots in the 80s

Great conditions, course gets better and better with age. A true parkland style country club layout. View comming up the 18th fairway is one of the best in the north shore.

Customer Service

Service is second to none. Traditions sets the bar very high.

Shoots in the 80s

I play this course at lease twice a week and it's definately a great value. This course is in great shape ever since its renovation in 2003. The greens roll true and the fairways are in great shape. The only gripe i have with the course is that seeds that fall from a lot of the trees liter some of the greens during the spring. Water comes into play in about 10 of the holes. The par 5's are pretty difficult and water comes into play on all of the par 3's. The customer service is top notch. As soon as you get out of your car, someone is there ready to take your clubs to the club house for you. The staff is also very helpful and courteous. It does get busy on the weekends so make sure you secure a tee time if you plan on playing on the weekends. This course is definately worth a shot.

Doug patch...no major difference in rough and fairways...what was the 2 million spent on in the redesign? Also, 3 hours to play 9 on a Sunday? Allowing a golf outing on a Sunday? Nice planning. WILL NEVER PLAY HERE AGAIN!

I'm a wheeling resident and have played this course for the last 16 years. It changes over the seasons because there are no sprinklers in the fairways. Greens, aprons, tees yes, fairways no. So during the spring and fall you get nice grass and less roll. In the summer you get more roll and less grass to hit from. Life is full of trade offs. The character of the course comes from the long par 4s the longest of which is 444 from the tips. This is a fairway wood course. On the long par 4s the greens slope up from front to back to slow that fairway wood shot as it reaches the green. Bunkers are out there especially for the slicers. I swear who ever put the bunkers in had people hit balls and placed bunkers where the most balls landed. But they are avoidable if you aim. Some water but you must choose lay up or try to hit over. Two of the par 3s have a double water hazard with nasty bunkers that require
an accurate tee shot. The other two par 3s a heavily bunkered
and you have to hit on.

Customer Service

Staff is helpful and courtious. Act nice and they will treat you well. Resevations taken up to a week in advance. Pretty loose about how many and when if they know you.

Shoot in the 100s

Pretty easy course. Not well maintained. Overpriced. Unless you like hitting of a ground that feels like the mat at the driving range, you must go after it rains. Greens were ok. Rangers did not do their job to keep up the pace of play. Even after we brought it to their attention. Spent about 5 1/2 hours to play 18! Twilight starts at 6pm. What? How ridiculous. For the price, add a few bucks and go take a lesson. You'll benefit much more!

Customer Service

Tee times are not easy to make. Always have outings or leagues. Unless you are willing to start around 5 or 6pm.
