Otis Park is nice, challenging, and well kept. I have played Otis Park a few times and have always had a great time. The greens are small and somewhat hidden due to elevation changes throughout the layout. You've really got to know how to hit off uneven lies if you expect to score at this course. With the recently discounted price it makes Otis hard to pass up!

Customer Service

The three times I've been there, the staff has always been courteous. No problems whatsoever. I mean what do people expect from a course their not a member of? They take your money/ swipe your card, give you a cart key, amd point you to #1 tee. What more is there?

This course reminds me a little of Salt Creek in Nashville,IN in realtion to the elevation changes.
It plays like Hickory Hills in Brownstown and Western Hills in Salem.

A good bargain course, green fees only are basicallly a $1 per hole on weekdays. On the back nine, very picturesque hillside vistas of Southern Indiana. Lot''s of stonework and stone fences throughout hint at Bedford''s quarrying past. Finally, you won''t be bored playing Otis Park, as it seems no two holes are similiar, and no two holes run the same direction consecutively, or ask for the same type of shot.

Can be tough to walk. Rolling hills and a creek with an overlooking bluff force several ascents and descents of about 80 feet. Also, fairways usually brown out very severely in the late summer, making overseeding an annual ritual. Finally, as one of only two public courses in Lawrence County, can be very overcrowded even on weekdays, let alone weekends.

Otis Park is an 18-hole municipal course in Bedford, IN. A short course, measuring only about 6300 yards from the blues. The whites measure out at a little more than 6100 yards. Most of the par fours are between 320 and 350 yards, but play longer due to doglegs and extreme elevation changes. Greens are all quite small, and a couple are very sloped and terraced, making placement VERY key and lag putting VERY important.

Bedford seems to be a very insular, close-knit community (for good and bad). The pro shop always asks for home address, and without exception, outsiders are made to feel, at best, like strangers, and
