Clientele is drunk frat boy meatheads who blast rod Stewart music and super rude japanese people who pretend like they don't speak English. Full course is in horrible shape with mostly blind approach shots and the par three is a goat farm with circus greens.both courses have mole tunnels on most greens.

Shoots in the 90s

One of the best courses in Southern Indiana. Phenomenal views!!! If you have trouble keeping it straight, you better practice your low punch shot before you show up. Most fairways are treelined with little room for error. Make sure you add or subtract distances from elevated lies. Not uncommon to find the ball on the side of a hill. All par 3's are 200+ yards falling into a wooded back drop. Greens are receptive and big, but double check your read, they can often times be tricky. Beautiful course, very hilly so walking the course can be tough. Go at twilight and you can count as many deer as you have lost golf balls. Enjoy the course!!!

Customer Service

It is a championship course and they will treat you well, but they will also keep you moving as the rangers come to push people if you play too slow.

Shoots in the 90s

A long course even from the whites, though I''ve heard is relatively weak in terms of challenge (to Div 1 players) and course quality in comparison to other college courses (one reason IU tried to build a new, upper-crust private course several years ago). Nevertheless, will challenge all short or spray hitters. In early spring, the course plays longer, but more forgiving, as errant tee shots are more easily found and played out of the encroaching woods. Later in the summer and fall, the heat will have taken it''s toll, and well-struck shots will really roll on the baked fairways. However, at that time, a thick carpet of undergrowth and fallen leaves will eat balls.

Rangers and starters are present. Starters do a good job regulating the flow of golfers off of #1 most of the time.

Shoot in the 80s

The IU Golf Course can challenge a good player at the end of the summer when the grass has dried. The forest that surrounds comes into play often with an errant or too-well-struck tee shot. When the course is green, however, scoring here is not as difficult as the course's length would suggest. The green is only visible from 8 tees, so a minor suggestion is to play the first time with somebody who knows the course well. The greens are usually well kept, but the tee boxes can be very dry during the summer months. The most beautiful hole is the par 5 9th. After a blind tee shot, the player is faced with a downhill, 275 yard 2nd. The green sits in front of a small hill and a flowering dogwood reminiscent of a certain hole at Augusta National.

A very tough course. Very well maintained and designed with a difficulty level that will challenge even the most avid golfer. You find yourself working around some tough obstacles - and you should be a straight shooter. The greens are terrific and for the most part very fast. I''ve golfed many courses and this is by far one of the most challenging that I''ve been to!

Customer Service

Very friendly, and genuine.
