Great greens save this course from being just another muni. Short and mostly flat, there is a lot of what you expect at a typical muni. But what sets this course apart is a great set of pushed-up greens with bold contours to challenge the putter, surrounded by simple humps and hollows that add incredible variety and interest to approach and greenside shots. Pete Dye reportedly did some work here early in his career; perhaps the greens are his doing. Most holes are slightly doglegged, encouraging drives to be shaped accordingly. Trees are a common hazard, but some well-placed fairway bunkers have also been added. A handful of holes on the back nine make good use of the few natural features that existed on the site, with #12 being the star of the show. The flatness of the front nine contributes to occasional drainage problems, but irrigation improvements have enhanced normal turf conditions. It is a surprisingly good test of your game and a fun place to play, but play early - weekend afternoons are notoriously slow.

It is a nice little course that is very low cost. They offer twilight hours as well as happy hour from 2-4 both at a discounted rate. The course is well maintained for a public course. The pace of play can get slow as things get backed up.Over all on of my favorite courses, like an old pair of shoes.

Customer Service
