Several good driving holes combined with some creative shotmakers holes make it an interesting layout. Some new water hazards and sand have helped the course become a little more challenging in the last 10 years.

Poorly maintained.

Shady has let itself go in the last 3 years. Poor maintenance has led to ball finding disasters. This spring I gave up on what I once considered my home course because they don't get out and mow. Speed of play has declined because everyone is looking for their balls. I played a couple times this spring and three times last year and had this experience each time. The course still has some good holes and a decent layout, but I'm done.
